Where It Started
The idea for ToriBOX came from a simple observation: the most talented storytellers in Africa were being forced to compete on platforms that weren't built for them, telling stories to audiences who couldn't fully see themselves in the content.
Nollywood is one of the largest film industries in the world. Nigerian storytelling is globally recognised for its emotional depth, its humour, its drama. But the infrastructure — the platforms, the formats, the distribution — was designed somewhere else, for someone else.
We asked a simple question: what if we built the whole thing from scratch, optimised specifically for African stories and African audiences?
